Our Approach Chasity and I approach real estate differently than the vast majority of realtors out there.  The best way for you to understand our philosophy is to understand how and why we became realtors.

Chasity and I moved to Charleston in April of 2001 from southern California.  It was our first "big" move and it was not pleasant.  Aside from closings being delayed, lenders not following through with "good faith" estimates, and general disorganization throughout the entire process, We knew little of the area and were essentially fish out of water.

We opened our candle shop, Candle Lover's Delight, that August.  Over the next couple of years we learned  a lot about Charleston, its culture and  events, as well as what visitors and newcomers need to know about the area.  Over time we have helped a lot of people find the answers to their questions about the area and found that despite all of the information available, most people still need some help not only finding their way, but adjusting here.  We sure did... 

Chasity and I enjoyed investing in property and decided to put our skills in business together with our knowledge of the area to help people make good decisions in real estate.  We became relocation specialists so that we can help newcomers to the area make the best decisions for themselves with all the information we wished that we had when we were moving out here.  We can help you organize every detail of your move.  From Helping you find a qualified agent to selling your home elsewhere (Carolina One has an entire staff to research and find the most qualified realtor in your area.  We can hire them and even find another if the first one is not to your liking.  This is a courtesy to our clients.  There is no charge for this).  We can handle everything from all the necessary inspections, handling all of the contracts, helping you find a lender, organizing your closing with a qualified closing attorney, handle the walk-throughs, etc.   We are here to take the stress out of the equation.

Selling a home? A salesperson will "sell" themselves to you so that you will list with them.  Their philosophy is to sign up as many listings as possible.  Then eventually by the numbers some of their listings will sell.   They are looking out for their own best interest.   That is not our philosophy.  That is one of the reasons we came into real estate.   To make sure that sellers have all the information necessary to make informed, good decisions.  When hiring someone to list-promote-sell your home, you need to make an executive decision: Are you going to hire someone based on their price opinion of your home, realizing that anyone can tell you an inflated figure just to get your listing?  or Will you hire someone based on their honesty, integrity, and the skill of their marketing plan?
